Festival des arts vivants
9 – 19 August 2017
Exchange between MilM2 (Santiago), Adina Secretan (Geneva) y Jessica Huber (Zurich)
A collective based in Santiago de Chile, MilM2 is composed of Constanza Carvajal, Diego Cortés, Cote Jaña, Cecilia Moya Rivera, Fernando Portal and Pedro Sepúlveda Cruz-Coke. Through its interdisciplinary approach, MilM2 is concerned with citizen engagement, developing participative projects which are associated in each case with specific communities or territories.
Invited to participate in a research residency before and during the Far° festival in Nyon, MilM2 opened up a dialogue with the inhabitants of the region (canton of Vaud) and the artists Adina Secretan and Jessica Huber, scheduled to be at the heart of the festival. The discussions centred around questions linked to the right to space, to notions of living and welcoming and the role of art in dealing with these issues, giving rise to the «H O R I Z O N» project, a series of initiatives on the shores of Lake Geneva.
In May 2018 a residence of Secretan and Huber is planned in Santiago, which has been acquired by the NAVE arts centre.
